Book presentation: ‘Education, school and pedagogy in Italy from Gentile to Bottai (1922-1943). Vol. II; intellectuals, fascism, school’

The book illustrates the “educational paths” taken between the two wars by some of the most prestigious figures in Italian culture and politics of the last century. The decline of reductive interpretations of fascism as a mere “reaction” or “instrumental epiphenomenon”, which for decades denied it any cultural autonomy or substance, has raised the issue of the relationship between intellectuals and the movement and regime led by Mussolini in a new light.
